'Innocent blood' appeared 21 times in the Bible and in every verse it is mentioned, it connotes instant divine intervention and revelation that needs crucial attention to men's hidden secrets and cruel deeds. A few are: Deuteronomy 21:8-9 - Be merciful, O LORD, unto thy people Israel, whom thou hast redeemed, and lay not innocent blood unto thy people of Israel's charge. And the blood shall be forgiven them. So shalt thou put away the guilt of innocent blood from among you, when thou shalt do that which is right in the sight of the LORD.
2 Kings 24:4 - And also for the innocent blood that he shed: for he filled Jerusalem with innocent blood; which the LORD would not pardon.
Proverbs 1:11-12,15-16,18 - If they say, Come with us, let us lay wait for blood, let us lurk privily for the innocent without cause: Let us swallow them up alive as the grave; and whole, as those that go down into the pit: My son, walk not thou in the way with them; refrain thy foot from their path: For their feet run to evil, and make haste to shed blood. And they lay wait for their own blood; they lurk privily for their own lives.
Proverbs 6:16-17 - These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
Jeremiah 22:3 - Thus saith the LORD; Execute ye judgment and righteousness, and deliver the spoiled out of the hand of the oppressor: and do no wrong, do no violence to the stranger, the fatherless, nor the widow, neither shed innocent blood in this place.
Jeremiah 26:15 - But know ye for certain, that if ye put me to death, ye shall surely bring innocent blood upon yourselves, and upon this city, and upon the inhabitants thereof: for of a truth the LORD hath sent me unto you to speak all these words in your ears.
Joel 3:19 - Egypt shall be a desolation, and Edom shall be a desolate wilderness, for the violence against the children of Judah, because they have shed innocent blood in their land.
Up till this present generation, men have followed suit the way of Cain, Ahab and Jezebel, and the false Prophets, in shedding innocent bloods. So many are ignorant that these bloods are crying to God, day and night, seeking for vengeance and justice. Others are ignorant of the fact that, there's a Judge avenges the bloodshed of the innocent (Hos 1:4 - And the Lord said unto him, Call his name Jezreel; for yet a little while, and I will avenge the blood of Jezreel upon the house of Jehu, and will cause to cease the kingdom of the house of Israel.).
Literally, it is not as if the blood has human body or face that it's using to cry (since the person is dead). The blood crying is symbolic or figurative but it means calling out or appealing to God in remembrance of the desperate and urgent occurrence. Just like a child crying endlessly to her parents, requesting for attention and immediate investigation or action over the occurrence that had him/her to be bothered, sorrowful, grieved etc
(Rev 6:9-10 - And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?).
An egregious picture of the above is the massacre of the Nigerian youths, during the End-Sars/End-Police brutality protest not long ago.
Those men responsible for these killings never knew that the worldwide unity of the Nigerian youths in staging up the protest (due to the injustice, corruption, bad governance, embezzlement, unaccountability, rigging, tyranny etc) is a sign from God that He's ready to request the blood of the innocent and good-minded souls that had good intentions, right from the past (the struggle for Nigeria's independence) to the present (the struggle for a new Nigeria).
These wicked souls aren't aware that the blood of innocent souls are upon them and their generations (indirectly, just like those that killed Jesus - Matt 27:25 - Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children.).
The movement (protest) is the first of its kind in the Nigerian history, irrespective of tribe, ethnicity, religion etc. Yet, some do not agree with me that this is Spiritual - God's involvement. Yet, I'll say that this hasn't ended, heaven will reveal these wicked men's iniquities and the earth shall rise up against them.
What grieves me the most, are those lost souls that didn't receive the life of Christ before they died. Those innocent souls have missed the bloodline of Christ (Heb 12:22-24 - But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,
[23]To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,
[24]And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.). Because they have been deprived the eternal declaration that; For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself. For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's (Rom 14:7-8).
Do not misquote me that it's not patriotic or it's not good for one to die for his/her country (motherland), but that will only be useless and of course temporal and wasteful, when such isn't in the bloodline of Christ. Truthfully, the blood of innocent souls cry for vengeance, but I tell you that, that of Christ's bloodline is very different.
Here, I ain't talking about dieing for one's country or people but the GOSPEL. The Nigerian martyrs of course died for a New Nigeria (those that aren't born again) while their blood cries for that purpose, but the Christly/Kingdom/Gospel Martyrs dies for the salvation of souls while their blood cry out to God daily, for His will to be made manifest.
"That all men might encounter God and be saved from eternal damnation" - Jh 16:1-4 - AMP: I have told you all these things, so that you should not be offended (taken unawares and falter, or be caused to stumble and fall away). [I told you to keep you from being scandalized and repelled.]
[2] They will put you out of (expel you from) the synagogues; but an hour is coming when whoever kills you will think and claim that he has offered service to God.
[3] And they will do this because they have not known the Father or Me.
[4] But I have told you these things now, so that when they occur you will remember that I told you of them. I did not say these things to you from the beginning, because I was with you.
Are you part of the bloodline? If not, why wait?
