Rom 8:35,38-39: Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
It’s a pity that many have waxed cold in their passion and love for God, due to the present situation that has befallen them, the country and the world at large. Some had questioned God more than the questions they do ask men.
Others have accused God and have attributed false characteristics to the nature of God due to the pandemic of the COVID-19 and the brutal killings during the End-Sars Protest of the Nigerian Youths.
Would you believe that, the truth of the knowledge some had in the word of God, that they have held unto and taught since they are in Christ, have become the words they cannot proclaim again because of the challenges they are facing.
Should that be our part as believers? No, instead let’s keep professing and charging ourselves with the assurance given by Christ and the Apostles, that we might be enlightened through and in the word.
Rom 8:28,37: And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.,
Jh 15:9-11: As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.
If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.
These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.
1Jh 4:19: We love him, because he first loved us.
Well, we shouldn’t be surprised at some Christians who boast of loving God before the trying times and have now faded or derail in that love because their eyes have not been opened to who God is and the extent of His love to them.
In fact, some cannot even offer thanksgiving to God presently, that shouldn’t take us unaware because when things were going fine, they only gave Him thanks for provisions and what their eyes could behold, lagging behind on the truth of giving thanks to God for who He is (1Thess 5:18: In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.)
If a man of the Old Testament (who couldn’t fathom the nature of God because Christ has not been glorified –Job 42:3) could hold unto his integrity on the basis of his fear for God, how much more we believers.
Let our words be seasoned with grace and our hearts being clouded with the depths of His love which has been from the foundation of the world. (2Tim 1:7: For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.).
Be steadfast, unmovable, fervent and not slothful in your dealings and fellowship with Him.
Rom 12:9: Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.,
1Jh 3:1-2,18: Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
Matt 22:37: Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
Circumstances shouldn’t abate your knowledge on God’s nature of Love
