Final words for this series by Dr. Myles Munroe goes thus: "The greatest tragedy in life is not death, but a life that never realized its full potential. You must decide today not to rob the world of the rich, valuable, untapped resources locked away within you".
Jesus told the disciples then (like He keeps telling all believers too today) to go into the world and preach the Gospel to every creature - Mrk 16:15. He reminded them (as He is reminding you now) that they now have something on their inside and that an empowering ability has been given to them which is capable of fueling their vehicle of Gospel all over the world and that, as they keep giving themselves to the preaching of this Gospel, the empowering ability will continue to attract some signs which will in turn follow others that embrace their Gospel, because they believe - Mrk 16:17-18.
That implication on potential generally is that; whatsoever you have inside of you, and has been endowed upon you by God is not meant for yourself but the world, so you need to pour it all out until the whole world is affected by it.
Jesus never told them to preach the Gospel to themselves. The gift of the Spirit and the power of God upon you is not meant for you particularly, but for men to profit God (1Cor 12:7-11 and Eph 4:11-12).
The fruit of the Spirit is to prepare you in relating with men and communing with God. You will surely benefit when you begin to manifest these gifts and fruits, yes, but the original purpose and endpoint of endowment is not you or your selfish self. Just that, before that original purpose and endpoint of endowment can be fulfilled, it has to start or pass through you.
The more you continue to maximize your potential all over the world, the more the attraction of men, and following you will be signs of possibilities in God which will continue to glorify God and uplift you.
To be continued...
