Yesterday, in the evening, around 5pm, I was on my way back home from work and I was pairing the front sit of the taxi (beside the driver) with a girl of about my stature. Almost everybody in the car including myself already paid and collected their change each when we were almost getting to the bus stop when something dramatic happened.
Since most of us boarded the taxi to highlight at the particular place we mentioned, it's not something new for the car to stop and permit anyone or as much as possible people that would do so to get down.
Let's just leave that aside and assume I was at fault for not talking and operating at a higher intelligence frequency or for the girls ignorance that I'll also be getting down the same time or let's blame the driver for rushing us to get down on time because of the trailer coming and the fear of collision or let's blame the trailer that is far but noisy enough to make a small taxi shrink in fear.
Here is what got me mad at somebody's wife. The girl beside me highlighted quickly and as she was doing that, being very close to her, I was doing the same thing. Immediately without looking back to properly close the door, she slammed the door right at me who was getting down the taxi halfway and the top of the right front door hit my head. What do you think would be the reaction of this somebody's wife?
She saw what happened without looking straight back, just shrugged her shoulder and squized her face murmuring in disdain look and guess what, she walked away just like that. Oh my God, who is this? She drew most people's attention (around and in the car) in exclamation. She didn't cared and went away while I looked at her in shame. The driver didn't even closed the door before running off because of what was coming behind.
I shook my head pitifully at her and of course, you should know what I said in my mind, "somebody's wife, can you imagine!" I never knew a guy who was sitting in a stationary taxi waiting for the driver was watching what happened until our gaze caught each other and he kept looking at the girl at the same time shaking his head before returning his face on me. I'm sure you could guess the same thoughts in him - "this is somebody's wife, can you imagine!"
Whoever is at fault isn't the issue, just a common "sorry" would have relieved me and give me an impression that she is worthy to be called somebody's wife.
